I'm sure that you know about the 21 Marines killed by IEDs in Iraq. All of them from the same unit in Ohio. My father is a retired Marine.Life in the military is much like life in a small town. You know almost everyone. One loss is everyone's loss. The fact that 21 families from the same "small town" have suffered this loss is staggering to the imagination.
It isn't that their lives are more important than the over 1800 U.S. Troops who have fallen. It is that in the span of three days, 21 Marines from one small town are lost. Twenty-one flags are draped over 21 caskets that are heading for the same place. Twenty-one.
God's speed Marines & Troops. May God shine the light of His presence on you forever.
